Location: The Argyle Assisted Living, Berkeley Neighborhood, Denver, CO
Reports to: Activities Supervisor

Hours: Part-Time – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 8:45am - 4:15pm (with occasional evenings and additional weekend availability as needed)


Job Description

The Argyle Assisted Living is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team. Nestled in the heart of the charming and vibrant Berkeley Neighborhood, our community is dedicated to providing exceptional care and enriching experiences for our residents. The Activities Assistant will play a key role in creating a vibrant, engaging, and supportive environment that celebrates the lives of our residents and fosters a strong sense of community.

As a core part of our team, the Activities Assistant will embody these values, ensuring every interaction with our residents, families, and fellow team members is warm, welcoming, and memorable.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and facilitating recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote resident engagement, well-being, and quality of life.

  • Safely transport residents to and from community outings by driving the facility bus when required. Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle and ensure the bus is cleaned and maintained after each trip.

  • Monitor resident attendance, mood, behavior, and level of participation during activities. Document observations and communicate updates to the activities team to support resident progress and program evaluation.

  • Support the setup, decoration, and takedown of seasonal and holiday displays, including activity boards, door decorations, and event décor.

  • Actively engage residents in a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, games, and group programs to encourage participation and social interaction.

  • Provide encouragement and assistance to residents during activities to ensure inclusion, comfort, and enjoyment for participants of varying abilities.

  • Assist with preparation, setup, and cleanup of activity areas, supplies, and equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe activity environment in accordance with facility standards.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record.
