CLINICAL TEACHING ASSOCIATE NURSING ASSISTANT (POOL)Faculty Part-Time
The Clinical Teaching Associate Nursing Assistant positionis a Pooled Position and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed, ongoing basis.

As the Faculty Part-Time Clinical Teaching Associate Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for the development and/or implementation of the nursing assistant program including, curriculum, policies, student advising, student evaluation, mentoring, and collaborating with nurse educators, nurse educator associates, and Administration. This position involves clinical instruction at various clinical sites in Oregon and at the Umpqua Community College campus in Roseburg, Oregon. Essential duties and qualifications in accordance with the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), Division 61. The Nursing Assistant Program prepares compassionate, competent nurse assistants who are ready to meet our community's health care needs. QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensing and Education Requirements:
    1. Current, active, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nursing License.
    2. Associate Degree in Nursing from an approved Nursing Program.
    3. Equivalent of a minimum of one year of full-time patient care experience at the registered nurse level.
  • Professional Knowledge and Experience:
    1. Knowledge of Oregon State Board of Nursing regulations for CNA programs.
    2. Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.
    3. Experience in clinical instruction and curriculum design.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    1. Strong communication and organizational skills.
    2. Ability to assess and evaluate student performance in both clinical and academic settings.
  • Certifications and Clearances:
    1. Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
    2. Successful completion of healthcare drug screening.
    3. Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
  • Health and Safety Requirements:
    1. Immunizations and health screenings as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority and required by clinical partners.
  • Technology Proficiency:
    1. Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (e.g., word processing, email, learning management systems, digital and social media, Zoom, and other online meeting platforms).
