Using pre-established rubric and themed yearly calendar, you'll thoughtfully design a daily curriculum that aligns with developmental goals, bringing your creativity and insight to the table to make each week meaningful and fun. Working closely with team members, you oversee the classroom, maintain a safe and compliant teaching environment, and teach the children all kinds of new things. You also communicate with families throughout the day, informing them about their child's progress and any concerns. Get ready to make a difference and have a blast while doing it!REQUIREMENTSOur Lead Teacher needs to meet at least one of the following state requirements:Completion of 18 credits in related coursework, including 3 credits in child/human growth and development, and 1000 hours of experience working with children in an elementary school or a licensed childcare programCompletion of 12 credits in related coursework plus 3000 hours of experience working with children in an elementary school or licensed childcare programNon-expired child development associate (CDA) in center-based programs awarded by the Council for Professional RecognitionA credential from a MACTE-accredited teacher preparation program5+ years of experience as a licensed family childcare provider with no imposed enforcement actionsCompletion of the New Hampshire Early Childhood Apprenticeship Program1000 hours of supervised childcare experience in a licensed program and completion of a 2-year vocational course in career and technical education with 9 credits in related courseworkDocumentation that you were qualified for and employed as a lead teacher on or before November 6, 2017We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative person who can create an engaging yet educational curriculum while bringing joy and energy to the classroom.
