We are seeking a part-time Receptionist for our Chicago office location. This role is a key part of the firm’s daily operations, serving as the first point of contact for all employees, clients, and visitors to the firm, while ensuring a welcoming and professional office environment.
Hours for this role will be 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday. This is a fully on-site role and will report to the Office Manager - Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner, and notify attorneys and staff of guest arrivals.
  • Register guests and maintain visitor’s list.
  • Reserve office or conference room space as needed.
  • Act as point of contact for general office inquiries while providing high level customer and client service via phone, in-person, and email.
  • Maintain firm phone list, floor maps, employee badge system, and general voicemail box.
  • Maintain firmwide calendar and announcement boards.
  • Coordinate in-office luncheons and other firm events and meetings to include preparation of invitations, tracking responses, handling catering needs, checking orders when they arrive, directing catering deliveries to appropriate space, and coordinating with the General Services team.
  • Order firm gifts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of receptionist or administrative experience with prior experience in a law firm preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced professional service environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.

This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Chicago, IL. This is the lowest to highest pay range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
