POSITION: Part Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Ten (10) Month Position
HOURS: 8:25 am to 2:23 pm - FTE .99 at 6 hours Per Day
START DATE: September 1, 2026 - Pending Criminal History Clearance
DESCRIPTION:
A Behavior Technician is a highly trained behavior intervention specialist with knowledge and skills necessary to support students through the application of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Behavior Technician provides a full range of instructional and behavioral supports, follows established protocols, and implements students' Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). The Behavior Technician is responsible for providing ongoing faculty/staff in-service training in consultation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Degree/Experience + Certification
    • High school diploma, or higher, 4-years of experience working with students with disabilities in an ABA program, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
    • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in the job-related area (Psychology, Education or related field), 2-years of experience working with students with disabilities in an ABA program, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  2. Ability to work directly with students under the direction of BCBA.
  3. Ability to implement Training programs under the direction of BCBA.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in reducing behaviors that impede student learning.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in implementing ABA-based instructional strategies.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident

REPORTS TO:
Director of Collaborative Educational Services and/or designee.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assists in developing faculty and staff training plans on the implementation of instructional programs and behavior management strategies following the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Implements in-service training programs following protocols established by BCBA and/or administrators.
  • Assists in implementing instructional programs and behavior strategies following Individualized Education Programs and Behavior Intervention Plans for the purpose of meeting individual student needs and reinforcing learning activities.
  • Alerts BCBA and/or school/program administrator of any student concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintains records, data, and reports in approved formats as necessary and required.
  • Regards personal information concerning students or families as confidential and utilizes such information only as an aid in helping the student to attain appropriate educational goals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of research based behavioral strategies.
  • Work collaboratively and collegially with administration, faculty, and staff.
  • Demonstrates clear and effective written and verbal communications.
  • Manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Implements all district policies and abides by all current district policies and procedures.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by program administrator or designee.

MINIMUM SALARY: $32,000
