Description
The Rochester Athletic Club (RAC) is seeking a self-driven individual to work as a part-time pickleball professional. The ideal candidate would be task-oriented, pro-active, pay close attention to detail, have appropriate communication skills to provide a member first experience. A pickleball professional is responsible for overseeing pickleball programming at the RAC. Other expectations include running and participating in pickleball tournaments, mixers and other pickleball related functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pickleball lessons and clinics
  • Organize pickleball events
  • Promote pickleball programs
  • Maintain facility
  • Admin duties

Requirements
  1. Education/Certification: Pickleball Teaching Certification or obtaining one within 6 months of employment and have a DUPR rating of 4.00 or higher.
  2. Experience Required: A minimum of one (1) year teaching experience, knowledge to build a player from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels. Experience with private and adult/junior groups lessons.
  3. Skills/Abilities: Competent oral and written communication, enjoys teaching participants and club members of all ages and levels, works well independently, effective communication with co-workers, ability to provide excellent customer service, enthusiastic and outgoing personality, ability to assist, direct and coordinate others, works well on a team and is willing to assist fellow professionals, analytical, creative, problem-solving as well as time management skills.
  4. Flexibility: Must be available to work nights, weekends and some holidays: including special events and tournaments.
