The Opportunity:

You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications and solutions makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
As an embedded Software Engineer, you will support our team to engineer solutions for complex mission-critical challenges by designing, developing, and testing embedded software RF capabilities. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, contribute to innovative solutions, and grow your expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment. Our Research and Development (R&D) "hacker-like" environment focuses on innovative approaches and thought processes as opposed to extensive design documentation, meetings, and formalized review processes. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies and deliver impactful solutions for real-world applications. Your work will shape the Army Cyber mission developing new technology for the warfighter. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience developing SDR solutions
  • Experience with C and C++, including cross compilation, thread synchronization, and asynchronous callbacks
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience with embedded hardware systems
  • Knowledge of Linux distributions, including RedHat or Rocky Linux
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Rust
  • Experience flashing firmware to embedded hardware platforms
  • Experience developing integrated solutions that leverage both the embedded processor and FPGA fabric of Xilinx SoC and RFSoC devices
  • Experience with digital RF sampling, modulations, error correction, or compression
  • Experience with AI Code Generation
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
