Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Under the general direction of the Health Care Programs Director, the Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all Health Care Continuing Education programs. These programs include all health care and allied health related Continuing Education and college-level courses offered to the general public and High School and Independent School Districts.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Three (3) years experience working in a healthcare related field.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel computer software applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to develop courses, coordinate curriculum, assemble course materials and provide health care industry related courses to the general public and independent school districts.
Preferred Qualifications
Program coordination experience in education, training, student services, or other appropriate area.
Supervisory experience.
Experience in higher education.

Assists in the planning and coordination of Continuing Education Health Care courses while ensuring use of best practices in high school and college-level programming. This includes creation of semester class schedules and high school Career and Technical Education Programs of Study.

Promotes Continuing Education health care training programs and grant opportunities to prospective college students through presentations, college and high school fairs, parent nights, and other college-wide events.

Recruits, monitors, and evaluates instructors. Facilitate instructor meetings and professional development trainings as needed.

Works with College personnel in the development, layout, and design of marketing and promotional materials.

Collaborates with a variety of community organizations in the coordination of services and programs.

Assist College staff with special projects and activities as delegated.

Promotes health care and career training programs and opportunities via news outlets, social media and institutions, organizations and agencies within the community.

Evaluates course/program effectiveness and participant satisfaction. Tracks and provides program and participant data to the Director of Continuing Education including student program completion numbers and Industry based certification information.
