Location: The Learning Experience, Columbia
Schedule examples: 7am - 1pm, 11am -6 pm, 12 pm-6 pm, 1 pm-6 pm, (varies weekly based on center needs flexibility is essential)

About the Role

As a Floater Teacher, youll step into classrooms wherever support is needed to keep daily operations running smoothly. Youll assist with staff breaks, help with opening or closing routines, and provide coverage when teachers are absent. While this is typically a parttime/closing position, youll be the first to be offered additional hours when substitute coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support classrooms from infants (6 weeks) through PreK (5 years)
  • Provide coverage for staff breaks, absences, and transitions
  • Assist with opening or closing duties based on schedule needs
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment in every classroom
  • Follow established routines and support ageappropriate activities
  • Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and staff
What Were Looking For

  • Experience working with young children across multiple age groups
  • Strong adaptability and comfort stepping into different classrooms
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Open availability to meet the needs of the center
  • Has or will obtain the 15hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification (free) before orientation day

  • Has or will obtain First Aid/CPR certification

  • Education in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus
