About the AI Bio Hub

The AI Bio Hub is a venture creation and innovation platform focused on the convergence of artificial intelligence, biology, therapeutics, and healthcare.
Created by C10 Labs in partnership with LabCentral, the AI Bio Hub brings together exceptional founders, scientists, technologists, investors, mentors, and industry partners to build the next generation of AI-enabled life science companies.
Through mentorship, technical support, venture-building resources, programming, and access to the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, the AI Bio Hub helps founders translate scientific and technical innovation into high-impact companies.
Position Summary

The AI Bio Hub is seeking experienced mentors to advise founders building companies across artificial intelligence, biotechnology, therapeutics, drug discovery, diagnostics, computational biology, synthetic biology, healthcare, and related fields.

Mentors will provide founders with practical, experience-based guidance on scientific strategy, technical development, company formation, product strategy, customer discovery, regulatory planning, commercialization, fundraising, and organizational growth.

This is an opportunity to support emerging entrepreneurs and help shape companies working at the forefront of AI-enabled scientific innovation.
Advise participating founders through individual mentoring sessions, office hours, workshops, and company reviews.
Help founders evaluate and refine their scientific, technical, product, and commercial strategies.
Provide guidance on company formation, team development, customer discovery, market validation, and fundraising.
Support founders in assessing scientific feasibility, technical differentiation, data strategy, validation requirements, and intellectual property considerations.
Offer insight into clinical development, regulatory pathways, healthcare economics, reimbursement, partnerships, and commercialization when relevant.
Help teams understand the responsible use of AI and sensitive scientific, biological, and healthcare data.
Provide constructive feedback on company presentations, investor materials, partnership strategies, and fundraising plans.
Make relevant introductions to researchers, clinicians, operators, investors, corporate partners, and potential customers when appropriate.
Participate in AI Bio Hub events, panels, Demo Days, and founder programming.
Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and scientifically rigorous community.
Significant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, therapeutics, diagnostics, computational biology, synthetic biology, medical technology, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
Experience as a founder, executive, investor, scientist, clinician, researcher, product leader, technical leader, or industry operator.
Demonstrated understanding of early-stage company development and the challenges involved in translating innovation into commercially viable products.
Experience advising, mentoring, investing in, or supporting founders and early-stage companies.
Excellent judgment, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to provide candid and practical guidance while allowing founders to retain ownership of their decisions.
Commitment to responsible innovation, scientific integrity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Experience

Experience with AI-enabled drug discovery, computational biology, clinical development, digital health, medical devices, diagnostics, synthetic biology, or healthcare data.
Familiarity with regulatory strategy, intellectual property, clinical validation, biopharmaceutical partnerships, healthcare procurement, or reimbursement.
An established network across the Cambridge and Boston life sciences, healthcare, technology, investment, or academic ecosystem.
Previous involvement with an accelerator, venture studio, incubator, university innovation program, or founder community.
This is a part-time mentor appointment. Time commitments will vary based on program needs, founder requirements, and mentor availability.
Mentors may contribute through:
Scheduled office hours
Individual founder advising
Workshops and educational programming
Scientific and business reviews
Panels and community events
Demo Day preparation
Strategic introductions
Why Join the AI Bio Hub?

Mentors have the opportunity to work with ambitious founders at the earliest stages of company creation, contribute to breakthrough scientific and technical ventures, and help strengthen the AI and life sciences innovation ecosystem.
The AI Bio Hub offers a unique opportunity to support companies before their paths are fully defined and to help founders transform promising ideas into enduring businesses.
