FLSA: Non-Exempt
Class and Grade
This position is available exclusively to currently enrolled SJR State students and pays $15 per hour.
Position Summary
This position requires a FAFSA on file and is available only to current SJR State students who are eligible for student employment during the current semester. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants must successfully pass employment verification, reference screening, and a background check. This position is not eligible for Veteran's Preference.
Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Operate the bookstore cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
โ€ข Provide friendly and professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
โ€ข Assist customers with questions and general bookstore needs.
โ€ข Maintain an organized and welcoming bookstore environment.
โ€ข Assist with other bookstore duties as assigned.
Qualifications
โ€ข Cash register or point-of-sale experience preferred.
โ€ข Previous customer service experience preferred.
โ€ข Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused environment.
