Job description

Want to work in a vibrant and fun environment? We are seeking a friendly, extravert and service-oriented Art Instructor/ Sales Associate to join our team.

As an Art Instructor/ Sales Associate you will help customers create beautiful pieces of fluid art and related artefacts. You will also and assist customers with their shopping needs and provide them with a unique and excellent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach fluid and resin art to individuals and groups of customers of all ages
  • Develop and maintain solid product knowledge to best help customers with their products and art class selections
  • Apply resin to paintings for a high-gloss appearance and put other finishing touches on customers’ artwork
  • Make up paints
  • Maintain a tidy and clean studio
  • Greet each customer with a smile
  • Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales
  • Collect payments by cash and credit card
  • Take responsibility for stocking, inventory and store maintenance
  • Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, count, write and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
  • Willingness to work well in a team and customer-focused environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
  • Willingness to work at offsite events (e.g., fairs, farmers’ markets, etc)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in retail/ customer service preferred
