Job description

Part-Time Accounts Payable Coordinator

Location: In-Office
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys AP work but is specifically looking for a consistent, approximately 20-hour-per-week schedule.

The position will focus primarily on keeping day-to-day AP functions organized and running smoothly, including invoice processing, payment coordination, vendor accounts, and general accounting support.

This could be a great fit for someone looking to maintain their accounting experience while having a predictable part-time weekday schedule.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handle the day-to-day flow of invoices and payments.
  • Review invoices and supporting documentation to make sure everything is accurate and properly approved.
  • Keep vendor accounts and payment records organized and up to date.
  • Help coordinate regular payments through checks, ACH, and other payment methods.
  • Investigate and help resolve discrepancies with invoices or vendor accounts.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal team members when questions arise.
  • Assist with reconciliations and other periodic accounting needs.
  • Help keep AP records organized and ready for month-end or audit needs.
  • Provide general support to the accounting team as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working with invoices, vendor accounts, and payment processes.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Reliable and able to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Good communication and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working in an in-office environment.
