Our Parts Room Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and processing inbound shipments, internally manufactured components, and inventory transactions to support efficient warehouse operations. Ensures the accurate receipt, inspection, and systematic processing of purchased and internally produced materials. Resolves receiving discrepancies, purchase order issues, vendor concerns, and inventory variances.
Time Utilization: Normal business hours are 8:00am to 7:00pm. Expected schedule for this role is 9:00am to 6:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer schedules. This position will require no travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned as necessary:
  • Work with team to check in weekly factory parts shipments, ensuring that they are processed in the order they are received unless business needs dictate otherwise. Inspect goods and confirm material numbers and quantities are correct. Process the purchase order receipt of items in SAP. Make goods available to be stocked or shipped in predetermined staging areas. Note any shipment discrepancies and address with the appropriate parties to facilitate resolution.
  • Provide and maintain regularly updated overage reporting for the Procurement Department to review
  • Assist with the receiving of internally produced materials by processing the completed production order in SAP. For overnight orders, ensure the outbound process has been generated in SAP after the receipt of the material.
  • Ensure manufactured parts are received in good condition and get adequately wrapped for protection during putaway and picking. Also responsible for the generation of quality notifications in the event defects are found during the process of receipt.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Purchase Order issues and vendor issues that prevent parts from being received systematically. Investigate problem parts to ensure all parts are received and putaway promptly. Monitor interim locations and complete research on aged parts. Complete control picks and inventory checks in order to drive the issue to a final solution.
  • Research and resolve aged Purchase Orders sent from accounting to either locate the missing parts or close invoices short in a timely manner
  • Assist with day planning and organization of the workforce by monitoring and reporting on upcoming expected shipment load based on a daily shipping report from carrier.
  • Monitor backlog of received materials pending put-away and storage. Maintain good receiving practices to ensure material is not stranded for excessive periods of time.
  • Ensure parts are safely moved to warehouse racks by appropriately and safely operating the Cherry Picker and other warehouse equipment as required by OHSA and MULTIVAC safety protocols.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of shipping/receiving or manufacturing related experience. Associate's degree preferred. Previous exposure to shipping systems for both domestic and international packages preferred. Experience with RF Scanning operations preferred
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide. Knowledge of the Metric measuring system.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience using inventory and order processing software. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Suite preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Ability to get forklift certified
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands: The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
