Position Summary and Requirements

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental needs and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical professionals and other team members, the RN provides tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as โ€œAssess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.โ€ The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizationโ€™s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

  • Regularly assesses patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions.
  • Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patientโ€™s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
  • Delivers exceptional care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
  • Instructs patients and families on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention, preparing them for self-management.
Qualifications Needed:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within six months of starting employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within six months of employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Nursing.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
