Parts Manager 
Shift: 1st  
Pay Range: $70-90K 

 
At EW Grobbel, we have been proudly delivering high quality food for 140 years.  As one of Crain’s “50 Fastest Growing Companies in Detroit,” we’re ready to be a national powerhouse.  We’re looking for a highly skilled Parts Manager to join our team. 
 
The Parts Manager position at EW Grobbel requires an individual who can effectively oversee the organization, inventory control, and availability of maintenance parts across multiple facilities. This role ensures technicians have the right parts at the right time to support equipment uptime, food safety, and overall operational efficiency. 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee parts inventory management across three manufacturing locations 

  • Procure maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) parts, including specialized parts research, in a timely and cost-effective manner 

  • Receive incoming parts, verify accuracy, and ensure proper labeling and identification 

  • Organize and store parts in a structured, accessible, and standardized manner 

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, including min/max thresholds and reorder points 

  • Utilize MaintainX CMMS to track inventory, usage, and part history 

  • Ensure all parts are properly logged, categorized, and searchable within the CMMS 

  • Support maintenance teams by quickly fulfilling part requests and reducing downtime 

  • Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic full inventory audits 

  • Identify and eliminate obsolete, duplicate, or excess inventory 

  • Standardize parts across facilities where possible to reduce complexity and cost 

Operational Impact: 

  • Improve equipment uptime through reliable parts availability 

  • Reduce emergency purchases and expedite fees 

  • Drive organization and visibility across all maintenance parts inventory 

  • Support preventive maintenance programs with accurate parts readiness 

Key Skills & Capabilities:
