Job description

Raymond West is looking for a dynamic Parts Inventory Clerk to join our Parts team! The Parts Inventory Clerk is responsible for compiling records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and parts by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive
  • Completes physical inventory counts in house and off site according to RW yearly count schedules.
  • Enter data to reports for the Parts Inventory Control Manager & Branch Parts Manager to measure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory discrepancies by auditing material receipts, stock transfers, stock adjustments and inter-branch transfers.
  • Process stock transfers as needed.
  • Remove dead stock per RW No-Move/Obsolete policy. Reviews reports compiled to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock.
  • Adjusts minimum and maximum levels as directed.
  • Audits Main Branch, Service Vans, Tech Lockers, and Customer Consignments for accuracy.
  • Relocate parts locations as needed for optimum storage efficiency.
  • Ensures stock levels for Service Vans, Tech Lockers, and Customer Consignments are adjusted as needed.
  • Work with IT Department as needed to create reports to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Various duties directly or indirectly associated with parts sales activity or as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers, and managers in other departments.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate drive and initiative.
  • Must be willing to comply with Employee Handbook.

Education/Experience:
Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirement:
  • Must be able to drive to different locations to perform inventory counts.
  • Willing to travel to perform inventory counts at different branches.
  • Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

  • Position requires the employee to climb/balance/stoop/kneel/crouch and crawl.

  • The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.

Working Hours:
  • Weekdays (Monday through Friday), 7 a.m. through 4 p.m. (or variable as required).
  • Occasional overtime based on company need may occur prior to or after scheduled shift or weekend days.

Pay Range:
  • The hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
