As a Parts manager, you are a valued member of our team, performing:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train parts department and warehouse staff
  • Organizes and oversees employees’ work and schedules.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance
    with company policy.
  • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly,
    professional, and efficient manner.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Provide and high level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Locate out-of-Stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Follow up on Back ordered parts.
  • Replenishes assigned inventory.
  • Assists Outside Sales Representatives with their orders.
  • Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs for
  • Various replacement parts to excel in the role.
  • Ability to read work orders submitted by service department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in automotive shop
  • 1 year of experience in parts counter sales, or an Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience in the industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to read work orders submitted by service department.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Language Sills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safey rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with only limited resources. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
