Position Summary
Aertssen Logistics USA, Inc. is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading various construction and agricultural machines and parts onto and off trucks, inspecting them for damage, and ensuring accurate and safe movement into storage or shipping areas. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, forklift operation, aerial work platforms, and basic math skills.
Aertssen Logistics maintains a strong safety culture and expects all employees to work deliberately, follow procedures, and prioritize safety over speed.

Requirements
  • Loads and unloads machines and parts from trailers using loading bridges and other material-handling equipment, often in tight or confined spaces
  • Safely blocks, braces, and/or tarps goods on trailers for outbound shipments as required
  • Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments by checking serial numbers, quantities, and shipment documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Inspects all received and shipped goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and promptly documents and reports any issues
  • Moves products to designated storage locations and stores materials in accordance with established guidelines and safety requirements
  • Stages and prepares shipments to support efficient outbound operations
  • Operates warehouse management systems (WMS) and mobile applications to accurately track inventory movement, receipts, and shipments
  • Maintains accurate shipping and receiving records and ensures all transactions are properly documented
  • Coordinates with internal warehouse, operations, and logistics teams to support smooth workflow and on-time shipments
  • Follows all safety procedures, company policies, and best practices at all times
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications
Required
  • Previous experience as a Shipper/Receiver or in a similar warehouse, logistics, or heavy-equipment environment with a demonstrated focus on safe operating practices
  • Recent hands-on forklift operating experience in active warehouse or yard environments
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical tasks using proper techniques
  • Comfortable working in small or confined spaces and tight loading areas while maintaining situational awareness
  • Ability to climb up, under, around, and over large equipment and work safely at heights of up to 30 feet in accordance with safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail, including accurately verifying serial numbers, quantities, and shipping documentation to prevent shipping or handling errors
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory, weights, and counts
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to ask questions, report concerns, and coordinate clearly with teammates
  • Commitment to following safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines without shortcuts
  • A current, valid driver’s license
Preferred
  • Experience operating or working around large construction equipment or heavy machinery in regulated or safety-sensitive environments
  • Proficiency with loading bridges and other specialized material-handling equipment where precision and control are critical
  • Experience operating aerial work platforms or similar elevated equipment with documented training or prior certification
  • Prior experience staging, securing, blocking, bracing, or tarping oversized loads in compliance with transport and safety standards
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or mobile inventory tracking applications
  • History of working collaboratively with operations or logistics teams to support safe and efficient workflows
