The Parts Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Parts Department by handling shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining accurate inventory, and performing local parts deliveries. Responsibilities include unloading and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying packing slips, preparing and packaging outbound shipments, and ensuring proper inventory placement. The role also includes driving company vehicles to deliver parts to customers and vendors promptly and safely. This position requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, physical stamina, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to lift and move heavy items. Reliability, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • (CDL not required unless operating larger vehicles)
  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or parts department setting (preferred)
  • Basic computer and data entry skills for inventory tracking and order processing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pulling, counting, and shipping parts
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with coworkers, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow verbal and written instructions

Essential Functions:
1. Receive and Inspect Inventory:
  • Receive Incoming shipments; inspect, verify and document contents
  • Prepare outgoing shipments: pack, label, and process orders using shipping systems.
  • Unload trucks, containers, or pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
  • Sort, label, and store incoming goods in designated areas according to inventory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments received and sent, including entering data into inventory and shipping systems.

2. Out Going Shipments
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring items are correctly labeled, securely packed, and accompanied by appropriate shipping documentation.

3. Perform Local Deliveries and Pickups
  • Drive a company vehicle to deliver or pick up parts from customers, vendors, or other locations.
  • Ensure accuracy of orders and obtain required signatures or delivery confirmations.

4. Replenish and Organize Stock:
  • Stock parts in designated locations to maintain an orderly warehouse.
  • accurate manner.

5. Pull Parts to Fulfill Orders:
  • Accurately select parts to complete customer and internal orders promptly and professionally.
  • Assist team members with parts pulls, returns, or locating items.

6. Perform Local Parts Deliveries:
  • Deliver parts to customers and vendors using a company vehicle.

7. Maintain Accurate Inventory Counts:
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments received and sent, including entering data into inventory and shipping systems.

8. Coordinate Core and Vendor Returns:
  • Prepare and process parts for return to vendors as required.

9. Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment
  • Keep delivery vehicle, stockroom, and shipping/receiving areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and report hazards promptly.

10. Assist with Various Department Tasks:
  • Support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth parts department operations including reassignment to other roles or tasks as needed..

11. Follow Safety Procedures:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe vehicle operation.

12. Communicate Effectively:
  • Report delivery issues, inventory discrepancies, and other concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies or delays in shipping and receiving.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
