As a Parts Counter Trainee, you will work closely with experienced team members to learn the dealership parts process from the ground up. You will develop the skills needed to assist retail and wholesale customers, support Service Technicians, locate and order parts, and provide accurate product and pricing information.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, learning new systems, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment. As your knowledge and skills grow, you will have the opportunity to advance into a Parts Counter Associate position.

What You'll Learn and Do:
  • Assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone in identifying the correct automotive parts and accessories
  • Learn how to use electronic parts catalogs and dealership computer systems
  • Provide pricing, availability, and order-status information
  • Recommend related parts, accessories, and current specials when appropriate
  • Pull purchased parts accurately from inventory
  • Locate and order parts that are not currently in stock
  • Prepare orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pickup
  • Assist Service Technicians in identifying and obtaining the parts needed to complete vehicle repairs
  • Maintain accurate order information and communicate updates promptly
  • Help keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficient
