Domestic Automotive Technician
Martinsburg, WV Full-Time Flat Rate Compensation
Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician with domestic vehicle experience to join our growing service team. If you are passionate about diagnosing and repairing vehicles, take pride in delivering quality workmanship, and want to work in a dealership environment that supports professional growth and ongoing training, we want to hear from you. This position is available due to continued expansion of our Fixed Operations team.
What You'll Do
As a Domestic Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. You will work closely with Service Advisors and Parts Associates to ensure timely repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine, drivetrain, transmission, and electrical system concerns.
  • Perform brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC repairs.
  • Conduct advanced diagnostics using OEM scan tools and factory diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete warranty repairs, recalls, and manufacturer campaigns.
  • Service and repair hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
  • Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and repairs.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend necessary maintenance services.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and factory service information.
  • Accurately document repairs and complete repair orders.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and parts departments to deliver timely, high-quality repairs.

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive repair experience with strong diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and drivability diagnostics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive Technology education or training.
  • ASE Certifications (A1-A8).
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic equipment and factory repair procedures.
