Parts Clerk

Position Purpose

Ensure that parts and supplies are stored and maintained properly and that adequate quantities are available to maintenance personnel to ensure safe operation and the continued airworthiness of the RAS fleet.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures found in Company manuals.
  • Demonstrates on a daily basis a commitment to the continuous improvement of safety.
  • Responsible for assuring requested items are provided in a timely manner and meet required criteria for continued airworthiness, including working with Mountain Air Cargo (MAC) Maintenance Control to move parts from RAS to stations as needed.
  • Assists in compliance with the Shelf Life Program for parts and supplies.
  • Assists in compliance with the Tool and Test Equipment Calibration Program.
  • Assists in compliance with FAA requirements for Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUPS).
  • Processes shipping and receiving of all parts.
  • Processes and creates RAS Purchase Orders and Repair Orders.
  • Serves as primary Hazmat Shipper for air and ground shipments, including maintaining ISO hazmat shipping documents for the required retention period for review by FAA Hazmat Special Agents.
  • Prepares counter-to-counter shipments with courier service for delivery of AOG parts.
  • Maintains inventory control in RAS and MAC systems as required.
  • Assists in preparing parts reports for the customer and internal departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Prior aviation, parts handling, or inventory control experience a plus.
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Basic Excel and Word skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Special Position Requirements
  • Candidates will be required to complete a course and obtain Hazmat Shipping Certification.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Work is typically performed in an office environment and/or parts room/hangar. However, due to work requirements, travel may be required, which will involve exposure to noise, chemicals, adverse temperatures, and other similar hazards.
