Boston Freightliner
The Outside Parts Salesperson is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and for promoting the entire dealership; Parts, Service, Sales, and Body Shop departments with special emphasis on the extensive line of heavy duty products and programs.
Essential functions:
  • Conduct sales presentations by physical visits to customer locations.
  • Perform professional presentations of company products or services while on-site at customer locations.
  • Emphasize product or service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms or reports.
  • Resolve customer questions, complaints, and concerns.
  • Relay leads and customer information to truck sales department.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional services.
  • Work with department managers to provide business planning designed to reach product and sales goals.
  • Promote entire line of heavy duty products and programs.
  • Actively manage schedule to adequately cover assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate records; including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with Inside Parts Salespersons to determine strategic sales approaches.
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Associateโ€™s degree or equivalent mix of education and experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of work experience in an outside sales capacity required.
  • Prior knowledge of heavy duty parts is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communications skills.
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record.
