As a Partner Development Manager, you will play a critical role in strengthening strategic vendor relationships, supporting our sales organization, and driving growth across our technology portfolio. Working closely with vendor partners, internal sales teams, and leadership, you will help develop winning customer solutions, support sales execution, and increase market share through collaboration, training, and data-driven recommendations. What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and execute partner-focused sales activities, including call days and targeted growth initiatives.
  • Support pipeline management, opportunity prioritization, and sales execution to improve vendor win rates.
  • Promote and educate Staples sales teams on technology products, services, marketing programs, and vendor initiatives.
  • Qualify, prepare, and present complex hardware, software, and services solutions to sales associates and customer-facing teams.
  • Assist with pricing strategy, deal registrations, product configurations, availability management, and lead qualification.
  • Partner with merchants, product development managers, and vendor stakeholders to create campaigns that drive profitable growth.
  • Deliver program updates, product enhancements, and strategic communications to internal and external partners.
  • Manage vendor portal activities and support the development of sales collateral and enablement materials.
  • Analyze business performance data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership and vendor teams.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through training programs, process enhancements, and vendor engagement initiatives.

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven experience selling desktop technology, computing devices, and peripherals in a B2B environment.
  • Strong account management experience supporting corporate, commercial, or enterprise customers.
  • Ability to develop compelling proposals and present technology solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with experience gathering, interpreting, and utilizing business data to drive recommendations.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build productive relationships across teams and vendor organizations.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Forms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for technology and helping sales teams deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

What's Needed - Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience selling desktop technology, computing devices, and peripherals to administrative, management, and senior management-level customers.
  • Direct account management experience selling PC technology to corporate, commercial, and enterprise customers.
  • Experience developing sales proposals and providing operational and informational support.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or comparable CRM platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience working with business systems and ERP platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

What's Needed - Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with infrastructure sales.
  • Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience supporting vendor-funded programs and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-functional alignment.
