About the role
Carrier's Digital Sales and Serve (DSS) Center of Excellence (COE) team is enabling higher quality digital commerce experiences throughout the enterprise. Our Digital Revenue Accelerator team within the DSS COE oversees all of Carrier's global investment through the COE in the areas of eCommerce, MarTech, and SaaS. Through centralized investment in technology, talent, and business transformation the team aims to solidify Carrier's position as a leader in the digital commerce MarTech, and subscription management spaces.
The Global Commerce & Marketing Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and enabling Carrier's global digital commerce and marketing technology ecosystem. This role provides digital technology leadership across web platforms, eCommerce, search, localization, and MarTech solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and business aligned implementations across regions.
The position acts as a senior liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, engineering, enterprise architecture, and external vendors. The role is accountable for the technological strategy, solution design, delivery alignment, and operational readiness for major digital initiatives, bridging the gap between visionary marketing strategies and high-performance engineering, ensuring a unified roadmap for Carrier's global digital ecosystem.
Carrier is a global leader in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Refrigeration, and Fire & Security segments with an unmatched product and service portfolio. Carrier's Digital Commerce, Channels, and Experience Center of Excellence team brings together exceptional talent to have an unparalleled impact on the company's direction.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain Carrier's global digital platforms, including CMS, eCommerce, search, marketing automation, localization, and SaaS integrations from a technology perspective.
  • Establish and govern multisite and multilocal standards, including global, regional, and country level site models, that empower marketing teams while maintaining enterprise security and performance compliance.
  • Serve as a technical lead for major digital initiatives, including platform migrations, global rollouts, and capability expansions.
  • Partner closely with the Director Digital Marketing & Customer Experience to co-steer Carrier's global Digital Customer Experience transformation and jointly defining the roadmap for our digital strategy. Translate business requirements from Marketing and Sales stakeholders into clear architectural directions, solution designs, and executable implementation approaches.
  • Partner with Product Owners and Engineering leads to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and synchronize delivery plans, ensuring the technical roadmap supports long-term commercial objectives.
  • Act as the lead technical owner for strategic technology vendors and implementation partners, ensuring their roadmaps align with Carrier's enterprise needs and performance standards.
  • Support contract evaluations, renewals, and scope of changes through technical diligence.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to support vendor onboarding and risk reviews.
  • Provide oversight and escalation support for production issues and complex cross platform defects.
  • Partners with delivery teams in order to diagnose root causes and coordinate resolution across systems.
  • Balance operational stability with ongoing delivery and roadmap commitments.
  • Manage and mentor a team of architects, product owners, and engineers on platform capabilities, constraints, and best practices.
  • Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and onboarding for new team members.
  • Promote architectural consistency and shared understanding across teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of professional work experience spanning web platforms, eCommerce, and MarTech ecosystems, with a focus on B2B and/or Direct- to- Customer eCommerce strategies
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Agile methodologies in a working environment - demand prioritization, planning, and execution to deliver software solutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise scale, multiregional digital platforms
  • Proven track record in managing global, multi-language rollouts that harmonize localized content with centralized technical governance
  • Strong understanding of modern CMS, eCommerce, SaaS, and integration architectures
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in complex enterprise environments
  • Extensive experience in developing integrated execution plans including resources leveling, effort estimations, cross-team dependencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles
  • Experience supporting global website localization and multi-language deployments
  • Experience building solutions using Shopify Plus
  • Understanding and experience with Martech platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager is a plus
  • Experience working within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Industrial and/or Manufacturing Industry experience working directly with Customers, Clients or Vendors
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills by translating technical software architecture into value-based narratives for non-technical stakeholders
  • Practice and promote Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience in inspiring and developing a high-performance team of architects and engineers within a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Proven ability to thrive in a cross-functional leadership model, balancing technical integrity with the speed-to-market needs of the business
  • Comfort building repeatable, reusable software components to enable speed of delivery
  • Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic
  • Cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to make critical decisions and influence
  • Business owner mentality and a 'sleeves-up' approach to navigating complex cross-platform defects and architectural bottlenecks, ensuring operational stability without compromising on innovation

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
