Join Our Team as a Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Mariposa, California – Gateway to Yosemite National Park
Department: Human Resources

Position Summary


This position serves as a strategic and trusted advisor to department leaders and employees across the District. The HRBP provides consultation and partnership in areas such as employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, policy interpretation, and organizational development. This role ensures alignment of HR strategies with District goals and fosters a positive, compliant, and high-performance workplace culture.



Key Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to understand department needs and develop proactive HR strategies that support operational and organizational objectives.

Provide guidance on employee relations matters including performance counseling, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.

Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.

Support recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure timely, compliant, and effective hiring practices.

Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements (CBA) in alignment with District standards and California labor law.

Coach managers on performance management practices, including evaluations, goal setting, and development planning.

Support compensation and classification reviews, ensuring internal equity and compliance with wage and hour regulations.

Partner with HR leadership to implement organizational development initiatives, engagement strategies, and retention programs.

Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with Title 22, CMS, CDPH, DFEH, and other regulatory agencies.

Participate in audits, policy updates, and training efforts related to HR compliance and best practices.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within HR systems, workflows, and service delivery.

Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in all HR-related matters.
