Job description

The Treasury Services Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with business members and prospective members by delivering treasury management solutions that support efficient cash flow management and day-to-day business operations. This role partners with business members to identify treasury needs, recommend appropriate solutions, grow deposits, and enhance the overall member experience.

The Treasury Services Relationship Manager actively develops new treasury business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing member relationships. Through proactive business development, collaboration with internal partners, and consultative treasury conversations, this position contributes to the growth of treasury services, business deposits, and commercial banking relationships throughout the credit union's footprint.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business members and prospective members by understanding their operational and treasury management needs.
  • Conduct regular member conversations and relationship reviews to identify opportunities for treasury service adoption, deposit growth, and relationship expansion.
  • Serve as a resource for business members by providing guidance on available treasury management products and services.
  • Take ownership of member issues and coordinate timely resolution through appropriate internal partners.
  • Deliver a positive and consistent member experience that supports retention and long-term relationship growth.

Business Development

  • Achieve individual goals for treasury services, deposit growth, and business product sales consistent with Commercial Banking objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of treasury and deposit opportunities through outbound calling, referrals, networking, community involvement, and internal partnerships.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the credit union's footprint and actively pursue treasury management sales opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers, business lenders, branch teams, and other internal stakeholders to support new business acquisition and relationship expansion.
  • Participate in joint calling activities with commercial banking partners when appropriate.

Treasury Solutions

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of treasury management products and services, including payments, receivables, remote deposit capture, ACH services, online banking, positive pay, fraud mitigation tools, commercial cards, and cash flow management solutions.
  • Consult with business members to identify treasury needs and recommend appropriate solutions that support operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Present treasury management solutions and clearly communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Assist with proposal development, pricing discussions, and implementation coordination.
  • Partner with Treasury Operations and Deposit Operations teams to support successful onboarding and service delivery.

Partnership and Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across the credit union, including branches, Commercial Banking, Deposit Operations, Treasury Operations, Credit, and senior leadership.
  • Support referral generation by educating internal partners on treasury management solutions and identifying treasury opportunities.
  • Promote open communication and collaboration across departments to improve member outcomes and support organizational growth.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the credit union's values, leadership characteristics, and service standards

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Banking, Business Banking, or consultative treasury services.
  • Demonstrated success achieving treasury sales, deposit growth, and business development goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of treasury management products, deposit products, payment solutions, and business banking services.
  • Understanding of commercial banking relationships and business member financial operations.
  • Strong relationship management, business development, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate treasury management solutions.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Commercial banking experience highly desirable.
  • Treasury Management sales experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation or pursuit of certification preferred.
  • Experience with cash management, commercial payments, fraud prevention, and liquidity solutions preferred.
