Lima One Capital is offering an opportunity to join the nation's premier lender for real estate investors! We are searching for a Mortgage Servicing Specialist who possesses strong values, a great work ethic, attention to detail, assertiveness, and confidence. The new hire will work within the servicing department of the company.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers and internal partners regarding general mortgage servicing questions to include, but are not limited to: monthly billing, escrow (tax/insurance), customer portal, payoff, etc. to deliver the highest level of customer service utilizing phone and digital communications.
  • Proactively reach out to new and existing customers to establish rapport and discuss loan terms and characteristics.
  • Analyze and qualitatively review loan documents, account histories, balances/ ledgers, that include, but are not limited to: escrow analyses, financial statements, tax forms, credit reports, and appraisals, to advise the most appropriate solution for the customer.
  • Monitor payment delinquency and engage in challenging consultations, asking direct and targeted questions to ensure continued loan performance.
  • Monitor maturing loans and proactively partner with customers to achieve timely exits via payoff, refinance, or offering extension solutions.
  • Gain and maintain proficiency in our loan servicing software, as well as any systems that may be implemented in the future.
  • Maintain detailed records, inclusive of: Contact attempts/correspondence, account updates, maturity evaluation documentation, etc.
  • Analyze and report to management on overall portfolio performance, KPI's, and risk metrics.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Loan servicing industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage tight deadlines
  • Prioritization and multitasking
  • Problem solving and critical thinking

Equivalent Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
