Job description

Are you ready to make an impact?
We are seeking a Director to lead and scale our strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) within our Cloud & Infrastructure practice. This leader will sit at the intersection of business development, alliance management, client delivery, and practice development, driving growth through AWS-centric solutions and strengthening our position within the AWS Partner Network (APN).
This role requires executive-level leadership combined with deep AWS architecture expertise. The ideal candidate has a proven track record building AWS-based transformation programs, developing alliance relationships, and leading teams delivering modern cloud solutions that improve client business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & AWS Alliance Growth
  • Own and expand strategic relationships with AWS alliance stakeholders, Partner Development Managers (PDMs), Solution Architects, and AWS leadership
  • Develop and execute AWS-focused go-to-market (GTM) strategies aligned to priority industries and solution offerings
  • Identify, originate, and close new business opportunities through AWS co-sell motions and partner programs
  • Drive pipeline generation through AWS Marketplace, funding programs, competency initiatives, and joint marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal sales and delivery leaders to maximize AWS-sourced opportunities

Client Delivery & AWS Architecture Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight and technical leadership across AWS client engagements
  • Guide teams in designing highly available, resilient, secure, and scalable AWS environments
  • Work across WM technology disciplines to support cloud transformation initiatives including:
    • Data center migrations
    • Application modernization
    • Cloud-native architecture
    • Platform engineering
  • Oversee architecture and implementation of:
    • AWS landing zones
    • Compute, network, and storage services
    • Multi-account governance frameworks
    • Identity and security architectures
  • Ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
  • Support complex solution pursuits through architecture design, estimation, and delivery planning
  • Act as executive escalation point for delivery quality, client satisfaction, and engagement profitability

Practice & People Development
  • Define and evolve AWS-focused offerings including:
    • Cloud Migration
    • Platform Engineering
    • FinOps
    • Cloud Security
  • Promote AWS architecture standards, reusable accelerators, and delivery methodologies
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop cloud architects and engineering leaders
  • Drive AWS certification growth and competency development across the practice
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or technology consulting leadership roles
  • Deep expertise designing and delivering solutions on AWS
  • Experience leading large-scale AWS migration and modernization programs
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
    • Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
    • Storage (S3, EFS, FSx)
    • Security (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty)
    • Observability and operations
  • Demonstrated success managing AWS alliance relationships and driving revenue growth through AWS partnerships
  • Experience navigating AWS Partner Network (APN) programs, competencies, and co-sell motions
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps, and cloud governance frameworks
  • AWS certifications strongly preferred, including:
    • AWS Solutions Architect Professional
    • AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
    • AWS Security Specialty
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30-50%
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
