Job Summary

The Platform Integration Manager works closely with the Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to support the growth and adoption of the Q-SYS ecosystem within key strategic accounts and contribute to the development and operation of Q-SYS Experience Centers across the United States. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert for the Q-SYS platform, working directly with strategic partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design solutions, provide technical guidance, support escalated customer challenges, and deliver engaging demonstrations and training experiences.

As an individual contributor, the Platform Integration Manager combines expertise in audio, video, control, networking, and software-based AV systems to help customers successfully deploy Q-SYS solutions while providing valuable feedback to Product Development, Technical Marketing, and other internal teams. This role also contributes to the design, programming, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of US Q-SYS Experience Centers and Sales team demonstration environments. 

The ideal candidate is a highly technical AV professional who enjoys working directly with integrators and enterprise customers to solve complex challenges. They are equally comfortable developing Q-SYS solutions, troubleshooting integrated systems, presenting technical content, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to improve customer outcomes.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Strategic Account Support & Technical Enablement
-Collaborate with the Strategic Accounts team to support initiatives that drive adoption of the Q-SYS platform within key strategic accounts.
-Serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering, programming, and technical leadership teams at strategic partner organizations.
-Act as a conduit between strategic accounts and Q-SYS Product Development teams by facilitating Voice of Customer discussions and communicating customer requirements, integration challenges, and feature requests.
-Assist with escalated support cases through technical consultation, peer reviews, troubleshooting assistance, and case management.
-Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for strategic partners, internal teams, and industry events.
-Provide guidance on Q-SYS design methodologies, programming best practices, and system deployment strategies."        

Experience Center Development & Operations
-Collaborate with Platform Integration and Experience Center Operations teams to design, develop, validate, and support Q-SYS Experience Centers throughout the United States.
-Develop and maintain Q-SYS programming, user interfaces, control workflows, and supporting tools for production showcase environments.
-Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrades, and operational maintenance activities.
-Respond to incident tickets and assist in maintaining reliable day-to-day Experience Center operations.
-Utilize Azure DevOps and other development tools to document work items, track project activities, and manage AV programming using software development best practices."        

Product, Marketing & Technical Collaboration
-Partner with Marketing, Product Development, Alliances, and Technical Training teams to design and develop compelling demonstrations for new products, integrated solutions, and customer experiences.
-Help establish and promote standardized system design and demonstration methodologies across Americas sales team.
-Contribute technical expertise to training content and educational programs to ensure alignment with current technologies, industry trends, and customer requirements.
-Participate in evaluating emerging technologies, competitive solutions, and market trends to identify opportunities and strengthen Q-SYS positioning."        

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of integrated audio-visual systems, signal flow, system architecture, and DSP technologies.
  • Working knowledge of networked audio, video, control systems, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues across hardware, software, networking, and control platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using project management and work-tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in remote and cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Audio Engineering, Technical Theater, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the professional audio, video, and control systems industry.
  • Experience in technical customer-facing or engineering roles such as Systems Contractor, System Designer, Applications Engineer, Project Manager, Programmer, or similar.

Technical Expertise

  • Hands-on experience designing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting integrated AV systems.
  • Experience with Unified Communications and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco, or equivalent solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise control systems, including Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Lua scripting, control system programming, user interface development, logic design, or related programming disciplines.

Certifications

  • CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, ANP, or equivalent AV industry certification required.
  • Additional certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or other networking and collaboration technology certifications are highly desirable.
  • Q-SYS Level 1, Level 2, Quantum, Control, and UCI certifications, along with successful completion of The Big Exam, are highly preferred.
