Job description

Position Summary This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by operating and maintaining extrusion machinery used in the manufacturing process, in addition to, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Tasks To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Safley sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals. Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipement to ensure proper operation. Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met. Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently. Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members. Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
