Seasonal Position | Full-Time or Part-Time |Must be available to work weekends and holiday weekends including Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day
Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.00 per hour


About Larchmont Yacht Club

Founded in 1880, Larchmont Yacht Club is one of the most respected private yacht clubs in the United States. Located on an 11-acre waterfront campus along Long Island Sound, just 16 miles from New York City, the Club is known for its sailing tradition, family programs, and vibrant summer community.

During the summer season, the Beach Grill and Pool area becomes one of the most popular gathering places at the Club. Families spend the day by the pool and waterfront enjoying casual dining, fresh grill favorites, ice cream treats, and refreshing drinks from the nearby Tiki Bar. The setting is lively, relaxed, and social, with members returning throughout the day to enjoy the atmosphere and spend time with friends and family.

The Beach Grill team helps create that experience. Staff play an important role in keeping service running smoothly while maintaining a welcoming and upbeat environment for members and guests.


Position Summary

The Beach Grill Attendant supports daily operations at the Club's Beach Grill and Pool dining area. This position focuses on providing friendly service, assisting with food and beverage operations, and helping maintain a clean and organized dining environment.

Beach Grill Attendants work as part of a team to support staff during busy summer service periods. The role is active, social, and fast paced, making it a great opportunity for high school and college students who enjoy working with people and being part of a team.

Many staff members return each summer because of the positive team environment, the waterfront setting, and the opportunity to gain valuable customer service experience.


Key Responsibilities

Member Service

  • Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist with food and beverage service at the Beach Grill and Pool area
  • Provide prompt and attentive service to ensure members enjoy a relaxed dining experience

Service Support

  • Assist with expediting orders from the kitchen to ensure timely service
  • Deliver food and beverages to tables and poolside seating areas
  • Support cashier operations when assigned
  • Help maintain snack and ice cream service stations

Team Operations

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and fellow attendants
  • Assist with clearing tables, resetting service areas, and maintaining organization during busy periods
  • Help with setup and breakdown of daily service and occasional outdoor events

Cleanliness and Organization

  • Maintain a clean and organized service area at all times
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensure service stations are stocked with necessary supplies throughout the shift

Ideal Background

This position is a great fit for high school and college students who are looking to gain experience in hospitality and customer service. Successful team members often bring experience from environments such as:

  • Comfortable navigating outdoor dining areas and stairs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying summer weather conditions
