Position Summary:
Our empathetic, approachable and patient centric X-Ray Technologist helps our Medical Team provide patient care second to none! An X-Ray Technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images. The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic procedures according to the established standards and radiation safety practices of the department. The X-Ray Technologist will help explain procedures to patients, establish rapport with patients, position the patient for optimal imaging, and educate patients and staff members on best practices and techniques for optimal and safe results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Prevents patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
  • Observes patients during procedures and reports abnormal activity.
  • Must work with established procedures and methods, but is expected to prioritize assignments, deviate from schedules or alter the sequence of steps as necessary to obtain desired results.
  • May be required to plan the work, assign work to, and instruct other employees.
  • Able to work independently, while managing several projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with preparing patients for surgical injections and assisting the Dr. with procedures.
  • Circumstances may arise where operation of the C-arm amp; O-arm is needed
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Must have completed an accredited 2 year radiology program. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Preferred
  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Previous experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work while standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to do forward reaching, bending, pulling, twisting, lifting and turning associated with patient transportation and equipment handling.
  • Ability to push or pull wheel chairs or beds in pre and post op areas.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
