Job Summary

The Part-Time Accounting File Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized financial records for the Accounting Department. This position supports daily accounting operations by filing, scanning, organizing, and retrieving documents while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.


Job Duties

· Organize, file, and maintain accounting documents in both paper and electronic filing systems.

· Scan, upload, and index financial records into electronic document management systems.

· Retrieve files and documents as requested by accounting staff.

· Ensure all records are accurately labeled and stored according to company policies.

· Assist with preparing files for audits and record retention.

· Sort and distribute incoming accounting-related mail and documents.

· Shred and dispose of confidential documents in accordance with company procedures.

· Maintain a clean and organized filing area.

· Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous clerical, administrative, or filing experience preferred.
