About NPOC Wellness & Hydration
NPOC Wellness & Hydration is a Maryland-based clinical wellness brand offering IV hydration therapy, medical weight management (GLP-1), peptide therapy, NAD+/NIAGEN® IV therapy, supplements, and a growing aesthetics service line including Botox, hydrodermabrasion, and esthetician-led skincare. We deliver premium, evidence-based wellness with a whole-patient care philosophy. We are owned and operated by a board-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 15+ years of clinical experience.
We are building a high-performing marketing function and are looking for a motivated intern who wants real-world experience in healthcare and wellness brand-building, with potential to grow into a long-term Marketing Coordinator role.
Position Summary
The Marketing Intern supports the execution of NPOC's marketing, content, and partnership initiatives across all service lines. This is a hands-on execution role: you will produce, schedule, and report on content created within brand and clinical guidelines set by leadership. You will not independently develop clinical claims, negotiate partnership terms, or approve final published content, but you will own the day-to-day rhythm that keeps our brand visible, engaging, and growing.
This role is ideal for a marketing, communications, public health, business, or related student/recent grad who wants healthcare brand experience and is excited about wellness, aesthetics, and integrative care.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Production & Scheduling (40%)
  • Schedule social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) using approved scheduling tools
  • Capture in-clinic photo and video content of services, treatment rooms, products, and team
  • Draft social captions and email copy from leadership-provided talking points and the existing 90-day content calendar
  • Assemble email newsletters in our email platform from pre-approved content
  • Maintain content asset library (photos, videos, graphics) with proper organization and tagging
Community Management (15%)
  • Respond to DMs, comments, and messages using approved scripts and FAQs
  • Escalate clinical questions, complaints, or PHI-adjacent inquiries to leadership immediately
  • Monitor brand mentions and tags
Local SEO & Reputation (15%)
  • Post weekly Google Business Profile updates across all locations
  • Respond to Google, Yelp, and Facebook reviews using approved templates within 24 hours
  • Monitor and update local citations and directory listings
Analytics & Reporting (10%)
  • Pull weekly social, email, GBP, and website analytics
  • Build a simple weekly dashboard showing KPIs: follower growth, engagement, reach, GBP views, lead form fills, and booked consults
  • Surface trends and recommendations for leadership review
Partnership Support (15%)
  • Research and build prospect lists for potential gym, corporate wellness, Chamber, and community partners
  • Draft outreach emails and follow-up sequences using leadership-approved templates
  • Coordinate logistics for events, pop-ups, and partner activations
  • Track partnership pipeline in CRM or shared tracker
Event & Administrative Support (5%)
  • Support NPOC's presence at Chamber events, wellness fairs, and community partnerships
  • Order marketing collateral and swag
  • Maintain marketing SOPs and update as workflows evolve
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Business, or related field
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to grammar, tone, and brand voice
  • Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn for business
  • Comfort with photo and short-form video capture using a smartphone
  • Proficient in Canva or similar design tools
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple workstreams independently
  • Reliable transportation to NPOC clinic locations (Baltimore, Waldorf, as needed)
  • Available for occasional evening or weekend events
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in healthcare, wellness, beauty, or medspa marketing
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
  • Familiarity with social scheduling tools (Later, Metricool, Meta Business Suite)
  • Basic photo/video editing (CapCut, Lightroom Mobile, Adobe Express)
  • Experience with Google Business Profile management
  • Exposure to HIPAA, healthcare compliance, or regulated industry marketing
Compliance & Conduct Requirements
  • HIPAA training: Must complete HIPAA awareness training within first 14 days of hire (provided)
  • Scope of work: Must follow NPOC's content approval workflow, no health claims, before/after photos, patient stories, or service-specific copy may be published without clinical approval
  • Confidentiality: Will sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement
  • Brand voice: Will adhere to the NPOC brand voice and clinical communication guidelines
  • Patient privacy: Will not collect, transmit, or store any patient health information outside of approved systems
What You'll Learn
  • How a multi-service-line healthcare brand builds and scales marketing infrastructure
  • Healthcare and wellness marketing compliance (FDA, FTC, HIPAA, state Board considerations)
  • End-to-end content production cycles in a regulated industry
  • Local SEO and reputation management for multi-location healthcare practices
  • B2B partnership development in healthcare and wellness ecosystems
  • Direct mentorship from a clinician-founder and an experienced esthetician/trainer
Growth Path
This role is structured with a clear path to Marketing Coordinator ($20–25/hr range) within 6–12 months for a high performer who demonstrates ownership, sound judgment, and measurable results against KPIs. Strong performance may also lead to expanded scope, including paid ad management and content strategy input.
How to Apply
Please submit:
  1. Resume
  2. Brief cover letter (≤300 words) describing why you're interested in healthcare/wellness marketing
  3. Links to 2–3 examples of social content you've created (personal accounts welcome)
  4. Optional but encouraged: A 60-second mock Instagram caption for one of our services (IV hydration, NAD+, Botox, GLP-1, or hydrodermabrasion), we want to see your voice, not your medical knowledge
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
