Job description

Position Title: Assistant Golf Coach (Temp PT)
Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time
Department: General Athletics
Campus: College Wide
Salary Grade: Per Contract
Remote Work Option: Fully In-Person (May be subject to change)

Work Hours: Weekly practices and matches
General Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist theHead Coach to instruct/coach student athletes in how to perform their sport,including about training, physical health, good sportsmanship, teamwork, andsafety. The assistant coach will also be expected to handle other aspectsof the sport, including recruiting and working with the Director of StudentLife and/or Athletic Director on eligibility and other matters pertaining tothe team.
Requirements:
  • Previous collegiate coaching experience and collegiate playing experience within sport strongly preferred.
  • Clearances required.
  • Knowledge of WPCC, PCAA, NJCAA and some NCAA rules preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate College van.
  • May require overnight travel.

Duties:
  1. Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions.
  2. Develop and implement game strategies and player development plans.
  3. Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes in alignment with CCAC admissions standards and NJCAA eligibility requirements.
  4. Ensure all student-athletes meet NJCAA academic eligibility, amateurism, and participation standards.
  5. Monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete success in the classroom.
  6. Maintain accurate eligibility documentation and submit all required NJCAA and conference report.
  7. Manage program budget, equipment, and scheduling.
  8. Ensure compliance with all institutional, conference, and NJCAA rules and regulations.
  9. Supervise assistant coaches and support staff (if applicable).
  10. Promote our Golf program through community engagement and outreach.
  11. Coordinate team travel, including transportation and lodging arrangements.
