Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: The physical and psychological conditions that workers are exposed to while working. Conditions in a workplace can encompass everything from the working environment to an employee's terms and conditions of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must provide extensive customer service with courtesy and concerned attention to individual needs. Must create and maintain an environment that creates a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and student success. Will provide direct assistance to accommodate client needs, so must be able to deal with diverse populations. Will be required to learn adaptive technology as needed for testing special needs students. Must be able to follow procedures and control testing environment. Highest level of accuracy required. May handle information regarding guarded access, including by not limited to student records, grade rosters, personnel files, etc. Must be able to deal with multiple tasks at one time.
Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Dean of Health & Public Services or designee.SUPERVISION GIVEN: May provide directions and assignments to part-time staff as assigned.
Job Function
FUNCTION: Coordinate activities related to the HESI Assessment and HESI ADN/PN program testing utilized by Health & Public Services.
Job Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Manager and HPS Administrators with coordination of all tasks related to the administration of the HESI A2/ADN/PN testing. Monitor Evolve testing website.
  • Create schedules for testing with input from Manager/Associate Deans. Reserve testing room. Ensure that documented testing accommodations are met by managing and responding to all CAL inquiries. Make necessary testing announcements to students, including communication via Macomb.edu website and CANVAS course shells. Communicate with faculty, manager and Associate Deans regarding testing logistics.
  • Work with other departments at the college to build schedules for registration for testing.
  • Monitor and direct students to successful completion of testing.
  • Order testing and secure processing of all payments and reconciliations.
  • Proctor, read, or scribe tests for students with disabilities per ADA requirements.
  • Help with check-in processing and problem-solve testing issues
  • Process proctor testing and other related requests.
  • Develop all reports related to testing procedures and outcomes.
  • Recommend new testing procedures, and when directed implement improvements.
  • Complete proctor testing forms and other required paperwork.
  • Create and maintain testing help guides for staff.
  • Assist Learning Center in conducting and documenting New Proctor Training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university OR equivalent professional experiences in test proctoring and administration.
Qualifications
1-2 years' experience in proctoring standardized testing and 2 or more years of administrative experience preferred.
Part-time employees are eligible for some Macomb Community College benefits including retirement with the Michigan Office of Retirement Services, as well as voluntary options for retirement. Part-time employees are also eligible for accrual of PTO and tuition waivers.
