Description
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Testing Proctor/Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and administering various tests and supervising student employees in the controlled environment of the Ephraim Campus Testing Center. This position ensures strict adherence to testing protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
Part-time position:
  • 9 Months - fall and spring Semesters only (December break and summers off).
  • Average 15-18 hours weekly.
  • Flexible hours based on testing schedules and demands. Shifts could be early afternoon, evenings and some weekends as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in administration or testing procedures preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in proctoring or supervising tests is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with testing software and equipment is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.

Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • Supervise and train student employees.
  • Proctor tests according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure a secure testing environment and monitor test takers to prevent cheating or misconduct.
  • Distribute, collect, and organize test materials per instructions provided.
  • Verify and confirm the identity of test takers and ensure compliance with testing regulations.
  • Address any technical issues that may arise during testing and report them promptly.
  • Provide assistance and support to test takers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with test administrators, faculty, and students regarding testing schedules and procedures.

Definition.
A part-time adjunct faculty member is employed at less than 75% time annually and teaches at least one credit hour or more.
A part-time staff member is employed at less that 75% time annually. The employment time is three continuous months at an average of 15 hours a week.
Student hourly employees are exempt from the part-time privileges of this policy.
Privileges.
Upon authorization by the hiring department, part-time employees as defined under this policy will be issued a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card at the time of hire. The card entitles the holder to all of the privileges associated with a Full-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card including, but not necessarily limited to, general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events; Snow College library card issuance; computer network, Web, and e-mail access; bookstore sponsored discounts; and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus. Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year.
Non-inherent Privileges.
Privileges of full-time employees such as, but not necessarily limited to, college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
