Job description

Lead Security Officer (Part-Time)

Location: Irving, TX
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule Options:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Lead Security Officer to oversee weekend operations in Irving, TX. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure site security, support team operations, and maintain high standards of professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills while delivering outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead officer on shift, providing guidance and support to onsite personnel
  • Monitor premises and ensure a safe, secure environment at all times
  • Utilize two-way radio systems to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Complete and maintain daily logs, incident reports, and required documentation (both electronic and handwritten)
  • Perform routine patrols and monitor site activity to identify and address potential risks
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
  • Provide a strong customer service presence when interacting with employees, visitors, and clients
  • Utilize and learn multiple software systems for reporting, tracking, and communication

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Experience using two-way radio systems
  • Ability to complete clear, accurate, and legible reports
  • Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to take initiative and lead by example

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, squat, and move as needed during patrols or incident response
  • Comfortable with prolonged sitting and walking depending on shift requirements

Work Environment

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor duties depending on assignment
  • Weekend-only schedule with either day or overnight shifts
