What you'll be responsible for:
As a Server I, you'll focus on providing friendly, attentive service by greeting and seating guests, taking accurate orders, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. You'll ensure guests have a positive dining experience while learning menu knowledge, service standards, and teamwork skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and provide basic menu information.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, including special requests, and relay them to the kitchen.
  • Deliver meals and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to basic requests.
  • Clear tables, reset for new guests, and assist with dining room cleanliness.
  • Process guest payments accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.
  • Restock supplies, maintain service stations, and support team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Success Measures
  • Provides friendly, consistent service with positive guest feedback.
  • Completes orders accurately with minimal errors.
  • Maintains clean and well-prepared tables, stations, and service areas.
  • Works effectively as part of the team and follows direction from supervisors.
  • Demonstrates growing knowledge of the menu and service procedures.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests).
  • Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on the company's procedures.
  • Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
  • Working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to fluctuating customer volume.
  • Servsafe certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures.

The pay range for this role is:
7.21 - 10.35 USD per hour (Killington, VT)
