Job description

Heart of America Beverage is seeking an energetic candidate to join our merchandising team as a Part-time Merchandiser in the Mt. Vernon market. If you enjoy a fast paced and dynamic environment, this job may be for you. The most fun part? We sell beer for a living! Our culture is made up of people who are passionate about beer and passionate about fun. We work hard and we have a lot of laughs along the way. We are looking for an individual that is interested in working approximately 6 hours a week on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday at one route location. Starting at $17.00 per hour.

Merchandiser Primary Responsibilities:

  • Neatly merchandising displays and shelves, and maintaining clean shelf conditions
  • Building display point of sale in all areas of stores
  • Properly rotating product
  • Maintain accurate price tags and point of sale in all departments
  • Establish and maintain rapport with key store individuals and provide outstanding customer service
  • Maintain a timely and accurate call schedule
  • Identify and communicate individual store problems and opportunities to the sales management staff
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Merchandiser Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • There are many physical qualifications that merchandisers must meet: required to stand for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch; lift above head; lift heavy items, up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to a 185 pound keg; go back and forth from cold coolers; climb ladders; and talk, see, and hear.   
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • This position requires that the Merchandiser have a strong work ethic, be detail oriented, quality focused, self-motivated, and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • The Merchandiser must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment; and the flexibility to work weekends as needed.
