JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including interior janitorial, minor repair, maintenance, and outdoor parking and walkway areas. This is a Class III gaming area and certain restrictions will apply.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Collects and properly dispose of all trash from both facility and the grounds.
  3. Performs janitorial duties, including sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, and dusting.
  4. Uses chemical cleaners and supplies as directed and safely and healthfully to self, other employees, and customers.
  5. Assists with major cleaning duties - carpets, filters, cleaning of machinery, furniture, and painting.
  6. Maintains gaming area at all times, including ashtrays, dusting of machines, carpet sweeping, etc.
  7. Provides physical setup for special events or activities including lifting and maneuvering bulky and heavy items.
  8. Routinely cleans authorized employee access areas.
  9. Stocks and supplies in various custodial areas.
  10. Greets and acknowledges customers encountered, pleasantly, providing informational assistance as needed.
  11. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.
  12. Adheres to established federal, state, and tribal health and safety codes/standards.
  13. Promptly responds to accident/injury scene providing first aid and securing medical assistance as needed.
  14. Complies with regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  15. Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.
  16. Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  17. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Experience with various cleaning equipment and materials.
  2. Effective communication skills both verbal and written to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals, and instruction.
  3. Walk, stand, bend, lift, and maneuver heavy items while working in a noisy environment and perform repetitive actions with arms, wrists, and hands.
  4. CPR/ first aid certification within three months of the date of hire.
  5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  6. Requires a Low-Security Gaming License clearance.
  7. Must be at least 21 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. One (1) year experience in maintenance, repair, and equipment operation.
  2. Previous experience or training in chemical and sanitation awareness.
  3. High School Diploma or GED.
