Our eggs are sold to our sister companies, Riverence Farms LLC and Riverence Provisions LLC, and other customers throughout the US and worldwide. Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for hand picking salmon and steelhead eggs prior to shipping to ensure quality product is sent and received by customers.
Essential Functions
  1. Sorting and hand picking eggs to ensure bad eggs are removed prior to shipping.
  2. Ability to recognize and identify different types and stages of fish eggs.
  3. Run egg picking machines as directed.
  4. Clean and sanitize troughs, incubators, and hatchery equipment.
  5. Prep egg boxes for shipment to customers.
  6. Help with inventory and stocking shipping supplies.
  7. Provide prompt, friendly and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  8. Be sensitive to special customer needs and work to deliver orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Work towards continual improvement.
  10. Work to produce healthy, ethically raised products consumers can trust.
  11. Attend and participate in department, safety and company meetings with manager and crews as required.
  12. Other duties in other areas as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in an outdoor farm environment. This role routinely is exposed to inclement weather conditions. The role occasionally may occasionally require the use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a physically demanding role with occasional office work. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly. The ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, hear, see and the ability to use all senses with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, and hours of work and days must be flexible between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible weekend availability.

Travel is not required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
  1. H.S. diploma preferred.
  2. Previous experience working in aquaculture preferred.
