Warehouse Selector / Loader (Day amp; Night Shifts Available) (PT/FT)
Wholesale Produce Distribution Company based in Port Washington, NY seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and responsible individual for our warehouse operations. This position is in a hands on position where you will be working in a refrigerated warehouse where temperatures are as low as 34â—¦F.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Order fulfillment - Accurately pick and prepare fresh produce items according to order specifications
  • Receiving amp; Stocking: Unload, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments of fresh produce while following food safety guidelines
  • Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring produce is handled with care
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a team to meet productivity and accuracy targets while maintaining a positive work atmosphere
  • Accountability: Take responsibility for assigned tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and correctly

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fresh produce environment preferred
  • Prior experience with forklifts and riding pallet jacks is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting (pushing, pulling and lifting up to 65 lbs.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment if required
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends or days and weekends; and some holidays
