Job description

SecurityRI is hiring Part-Time Weekend Unarmed Security Officers for a variety of client locations throughout Rhode Island. Weekend opportunities are available on all shifts, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to supplement their income while working with one of Rhode Island's leading security companies.

Available Shifts:
  • 1st Shift
  • 2nd Shift
  • 3rd Shift
  • Saturday and Sunday availability required
  • Position Overview:

    Officers are assigned to commercial properties, residential communities, construction sites, office buildings, retail locations, and other client sites throughout Rhode Island. This is an active security position requiring routine patrols, detailed reporting, and the use of security technology to verify patrol completion and document site activity.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled interior and exterior foot patrols of assigned properties
  • Complete required patrol tours using QR code scan checkpoints
  • Submit detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), hourly reports, and incident reports through our mobile reporting application
  • Document safety hazards, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security incidents with written reports and photographs when necessary
  • Monitor buildings, parking areas, entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance while following company procedures
  • Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, employees, and clients
  • Immediately notify dispatch and supervision of emergencies, criminal activity, or other incidents requiring escalation
  • Complete thorough shift passdowns when relieved by another officer
  • Clock in and out using the company mobile application at the beginning and end of every shift
  • Follow all sitespecific post orders, company policies, and client expectations
  • Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Smartphone capable of running company reporting and timekeeping applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Successfully pass all required background screenings
