Job Description

Reporting to the Chief of Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Techo-Bloc’s employees and property, working alongside a team of dynamic and motivated agents. Our ideal candidate is discreet, courteous, and serves as a role model in applying company policies.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage in both our Chambly and Saint-Hubert locations
  • Act proactively to detect, monitor, and report any potential security threats—dangerous situations, suspicious behavior, or other concerns—promptly notifying the Security Manager;
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of the premises using the camera system and alarms (intrusion, fire), and respond quickly to any alerts;
  • Conduct regular patrols inside and outside the facilities, on foot or by vehicle, in accordance with established protocols;
  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations (theft, intrusion, altercation, fire, etc.), including physical interventions when necessary (evacuations, first aid);
  • Communicate with emergency services as needed and work collaboratively with first responders;
  • Apply occupational health and safety policies and procedures to promote a strong prevention culture;
  • Resolve conflicts in collaboration with management;
  • Control access to the premises, including greeting visitors, suppliers, and other individuals;
  • Write clear and detailed incident reports to document events and preserve evidence;
  • Perform any other related duties.
Qualifications
  • Hold a valid security agent license issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP);
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in security;
  • Hold a valid workplace first aid certification;
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (no more than three demerit points);
  • Ability to lift, move, or handle various objects (loads up tp 50 lbs) with strong psychomotor skills;
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods;
  • Excellent visual acuity;
  • Ability to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations;
  • Physically capable of running, kneeling, crouching, moving quickly, and using security equipment;
  • Strong skills in analysis, judgment, crisis management, and problem-solving;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: observational skills, self-control, teamwork, and effective communication;
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset — English is required to communicate with clients based in the United States and outside of Quebec.
