The Customer Service Agent - (Data Entry Clerk), is someone who updates and inputs information into the company/client database. The main responsibilities of a Customer Service Agent - (Data Entry Clerk), are data entry, proofreading, donor follow-ups either through email or phone (number of outbound calls can vary), exporting and importing data into databases, deposits, and appropriately filing digital documents. You should be diligent and reliable. You should pay attention to detail.  A significant portion of our client base consists of religious organizations/charities.  Agents are required to handle calls regarding (donations/doctrine/services) for these specific groups.

Key Job Activities:
• Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail.
• Weigh mail to determine the correct postage.
• Time/date stamp all incoming/outgoing mail.
• Help customers complete change of address and mail hold forms, etc.
• Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and account information.
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Establishes entry priorities.
• Ensuring appropriate turnaround time on all data entry
• Monitoring and updating existing data when required
• Retrieving data for team members upon request
• Utilizes applications effectively to process customer transactions accurately
• Maintains a working knowledge of client product, services, and promotions
• Completes offline donor administrative work such as responding to emails. Follow up with customers via the phone to address missing information.
• Use fax and scanning machines.
• Client exports and deposits

Requirements and skills
• Experience with mail sorting and postage meter machines is a plus
• Good computer skills
• Well-organized, with sharp attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong typing skills; Knowledge of the touch-typing system is strongly preferred
• Good command of the English language, both oral and written, and customer service skills
