Mental/Behavioral Health Technician

Children’s Mental Health Hospital, Wichita, KS


Salary: $18- $22 per hour (increases based on education & experience)


Shifts Available:

- Full Time/Part Time, 1st Shift: 7am- 3:30pm

- Full Time/Part Time, 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

- Full Time/Part Time, 3rd Shift: 11pm- 7:30am

- PRN

(Shift differentials provided when applicable)

Camber Children’s Mental Health in Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide care, supervision, and support to help young people achieve their treatment goals in a safe and therapeutic environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide compassionate care and supervision to children and youth in our facility
  • Support daily activities and reinforce treatment plans developed by nurses and therapists
  • Teach coping techniques and positive behavior skills
  • Document client activity and progress
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
  • Experience: 1–3 months of related experience and/or training working with adults or children in a behavioral health care or similar environment preferred
  • Must be at least 20 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
