Requirements
What You'll Do
  • Part-time position from August-May
  • Agree to abstain from alcohol and drugs during the time of employment
  • Caring for and supervising groups of 10-16 young children
  • Design and lead a 20-minute interactive music class using songs and rhythm instruments for multiple classes of 2-5yr old children
  • Coordinate seasonal programs
  • Treat each child with dignity and respect
  • Responsible for classroom arrangement and appearance
  • Able to build relationships with teachers, children and parents
  • Participate in annual CPR training and attend seasonal staff meetings
  • Follow all classroom guidelines, safety and employee policies of Long Hollow Church

Skills Needed to Succeed
  • A degree in education is preferred but not required
  • Must be professionally prepared as a caregiver and teacher of young children
  • Be available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm
  • A team player and driven to serve others
  • Responsible, sensitive and mature adult who is able to relate well to both children and adults
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills; is humble, gentle, dignified, and respectful of others
  • Hard-working, teachable, fun-loving, dedicated and loyal
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Able to handle confidential matters discreetly and efficiently
  • A background screening process is required
